Find Your Perfect Ring Size

How to Measure Your Ring Size (Accurately!)

Don’t have a steel ring sizer? No problem. Here’s how you can measure your ring size at home using just a thread and a ruler — but accuracy matters, so follow the steps carefully.

🧵 What You’ll Need:

  • A piece of thread or non-stretchy string (no wool)
  • A millimeter ruler
  • A pen or fine-point marker

📏 Steps:

  1. Wrap the thread tightly around your finger
    – Choose the broadest part of the finger you’ll wear the ring on (usually the knuckle).
    – The thread should feel snug and slightly squeezing.
  2. Mark the exact point where the thread crosses
    – Mark it while it’s still tightly wrapped on the finger.
  3. Measure the thread length
    – Lay the thread flat.
    – Use a ruler with millimeter markings.
Read the exact number in mm.
  4. Calculate your ring size
    – Use this formula:

Ring Size = circumference (in mm) – 41

🧠 Example:

  • You measure 57 mm → Use 57 mm
  • 57 – 41 = Ring Size 16
